Competitor Research

Once the idea / concept of the product has been defined, it is important to do a research of all the potential competitors, trying to understand their strength and their weaknesses, in order to find flaws or gaps that our product can fill.

Analysis and Considerations

There is an existing and ongoing great offer for music around the net. Every platform seems to excel at something ( Discogs is the largest database and best market for used vinyls, Bandcamp and Bleep are great for digital releases, Soundcloud is good for connecting with artists and labels, Spotify is the top steaming service. ) 
None of them seems to provide all these services in one product, so our goal would be trying to build a platform that provides the most of these services all in one single platform.
